Food
insecurity is yet another name for families going hungry. Here in
Burlington our Food Bank is dedicated to feeding the working poor and
hungry in our community and providing whatever service we can in the
fight for hunger-relief. Nutrition, shelter and emergency services are
fundamental to the Canadian way of life and whether it is for children,
the elderly, the homeless or the disabled our non profit charity works
to provide the basics.

and marginalized of Burlington and the surrounding area can come to
receive the help for the necessities of life and the compassion
deserving of people as individuals, be they children, the elderly,
homeless or the disabled.
We seek...
... to accomplish our goals
by growing and maintaining a food distribution center (food bank)
focused on supplementing the working poor of our community. We feel we
can best do this by developing and delivering services, in conjunction
with parallel social services, that address the needs of people and
increase opportunities to help individuals to achieve their full
potential.
We seek to accomplish our goals by being a model and catalyst for
social transformation, providing maximum value to those in need, while
being accountable to those who support our work.
We seek to accomplish our goals by being aware and then making our
community aware of the suffering and difficulties of others. We will
use our time, treasures and talents to empower others to be excited
about wanting to do something about it.
